Life service e-commerce five years after maturity

"Life service e-commerce is a low entry threshold, but the field with high operating costs will be put into operation in the next three to five years ." Jin Jianhang, president of Alibaba Group's Yahoo Koubei Network, told reporters that, life service e-commerce needs to invest at least 0.3 billion yuan each year to succeed in China. Otherwise, it cannot undertake the construction of life service e-commerce covering the whole country.

Jin Jianhang said that in China's economic development, the improvement of living services will become a very important field, the value of this field is no less than the so-called "made in China" era in the past 10 years.

"We believe that China will enter the era of 'China Service' in the 10 years from now on ." Jin Jianhang said that with the arrival of the "China service" era, the e-commerce of life service will also develop.

However, Jin Jianhang believes that the success of life services e-commerce takes 3-5 years.

It is reported that Alibaba Group announced at the end of 2008 that it will invest 2009 yuan in the development of Yahoo's word-of-mouth life service in 0.3 billion.

In this regard, Jin Jianhang said that, using the 0.3 billion yuan invested by Alibaba Group, Yahoo's Koubei.com hopes to establish three major life service circles nationwide in the next year, taking Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou as the core, radiating other surrounding cities, building on Yahoo's reputation network information service platform and building a credibility platform shared by service providers and consumers through information construction.

In June 2008, Yahoo China and Koubei.com were integrated to set up Yahoo koubei.com and formally entered the field of life service. In July 2008, Yahoo's koubei.com was officially launched and became China's largest network platform focusing on life services.

Yahoo has a leading position in real estate, catering, dating, household management, and other services closely related to people's lives, it covers food, entertainment, renting a house, buying a house, working, traveling, and other living and consumption information. The information is spread across all large and medium-sized cities. Currently, 2864 Chinese cities have been activated.

As of January December 2008, Koubei.com had 23 million registered members and shared members of Yahoo China and Taobao. The number of merchants on the website has exceeded 20 million. The number of updated real estate channels is nearly 3.5 million, which is the largest in China, with more than 1.3 million information items updated on the day of rental housing.
