I. What is AuI?

The AuI framework in liferay, officially called alloy, is a UI superframework that provides continuous and simple APIs for establishing network applications in three aspects of the browser, including structure, style, and performance.

It integrates three design languages: HTML, CSS, and Java.

Accurately speaking, AuI is a liferay Extension Based on Yui to facilitate some practical applications and extensions of liferay. Many Syntax structures and usage methods of AuI are less related to Yui. Familiar with Yui can quickly get familiar with AuI.

Ii. How to learn

We can see that there are APIs and Demos. We mainly care about these two items. We can see the demo of each component under demos and view the source code of HTML to see how to use them, the API description of each component is provided in the API.
