LINQ to SQL exception: SQL server does not handle comparison of ntext, text, XML, or image data types

If you encounter an exception when using LINQ to SQL: SQL server does not handle comparison of ntext, text, XML, or image data types, ntext may be used in your database table fields, for the text, XML, or image type, you must add updatecheck = never to the attribute of the class automatically generated by dbml.

Note that XML in dbml is of the xelement type and xelement is of the reference type. If you need to update this field, you cannot directly modify it. You need to create an xelement again, otherwise, the changes cannot be updated to the database.
