Linux (4) solution for setting incomplete display and unavailable input methods in unbuntu, linuxunbuntu
Recently, I want to check some system information and click "about this computer". I found that some system settings are displayed, and only some of them are displayed. I am a little obsessive and want to solve this problem:
After querying some information on the Internet, we found that this phenomenon may be caused by the lack of unity-control-center. Next we will share with you how to fix this problem:
This unity-control-center is missing, so we can reinstall it.
1. Press ctrl + alt + T to open the terminal, enter sudo dpkg -- configure-a, press enter, and enter the password:
2. Enter sudo apt-get install unity-control-center and press Enter:
3. After installation, you can check the result:
4. here we can see that the general system settings are available. However, after the installation is complete, after restarting, we find that the input method cannot be used. At the beginning, I used fcitx, I installed the sogou input method and found that it could not be run. Without the display of the input method, unbuntu14.04 came with the ibus input method, but I didn't like the style, so I re-installed a fcitx, (here I think that ibus was uninstalled when fcitx was previously installed, so the system settings are not displayed completely .) after unity-control-center is installed, ibus is re-installed. Therefore, you need to reconfigure the input method again: You still want to use the original input method, but you cannot uninstall ibus, here, you need to enter the language support for configuration. (The language support option cannot be found in the system settings)
5. The language support cannot be found because im-switch is installed. im-switch is incompatible with the language support. either of the two can be used as one. If the other exists, it will be uninstalled;
Solution:
Enter sudo apt-get install laguage-selector-gnome
Reinstall the language support option.
6. After the installation is complete, we find that the language support is back (the screenshot taken after installation)
Then we start to configure the input method:
Enable language support:
Change the keyboard input mode system to fcitx. Here I installed fcitx. If it is not installed, install it first:
Sudo apt-get install fcitx-table-wbpy wb five-pen py pinyin
I use sogou here. I personally feel that it is much easier to use than ibus.
7. restart the system and open the keyboard icon in the top-right corner of ubuntu. Select the input method you need,
Configuration, such:
I am using sogou here, so I am using sogou directly, and other configurations are the same.
Remember the shortcut keys used to switch the input method here in windows.Ctrl + ShiftAndCtrl + Space(Space ).
Now, all the problems have been solved. Let's start a new round of exploration ~
