In a Windows and Linux dual-system environment, it is often necessary to install the Windows system and install the Linux system, because the Linux bootstrapper is able to recognize the Windows system, and the Windows boot program does not recognize the Linux system. And if you install Linux and then install Windows, the Windows bootstrapper will overwrite the Linux boot program, causing Linux to become unrecognizable.
Recently installed a dual system: Windows Server 2003 and Linux (centos6.3), the default first boot system is Linux, if I want to change the default boot system to Windows, how to operate it. Action steps are as follows:
1, as root login Linux system;
2, start the terminal, enter the command: vi/boot/grub/grub.conf, the contents of the document are as follows:
#boot =/DEV/SDA
Default=0 (the default boot which system settings, the default boot Linux system)
Timeout=5 (in the process of starting the system, waiting for the length of time < units: seconds, so that users can manually select the boot system)
Title CentOs 6.3 Linux as
......
Title Windows Server 2003
......
Title Other ...
......
(each title represents a system, the system code starting from 0, to start Windows Server 2003 by default, set Default=1 can be) modified to save the file, restart the system, you can enter the Windows system.
PS: If you want to adjust the system order in grub and add the delete system name, modify the title in the grub.conf file.
