Linux-centos7 installing VMware Workstation 12

1. Download VMware

Connect to address http://www.vmware.com/products/workstation/workstation-evaluation and download the Linux version of VMware. My download is:vmware-workstation-full-12.0.0-2985596.x86_64.bundle.

2. Installing VMware

Write to the installation package path to install (change to your own directory):

#/smb/share/software/system/vmware/linux/vmware-workstation-full-12.0.0-2985596.x86_64.bundle

gtk-message:failed to load module "pk-gtk-module": libpk-gtk-module.so: Unable to open the shared object file: No file or directory
gtk-message:failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": libcanberra-gtk-module.so: Unable to open the shared object file: No file or directory

The first step:
First determine if the required module is installed and its location
# Locate Libpk-gtk-module.so
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so
# Locate Libcanberra-gtk-module.so
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so

After you find it, add the path to the system load modules
# vim/etc/ld.so.conf.d/gtk-2.0.conf
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules

Reload Modules
# Ldconfig

Enter the installation package path again to install and complete the installation.

# /smb/share/software/system/vmware/linux/vmware-workstation-full-12.0.0-2985596.x86_64.bundle

Enter VMware to start VMware

# vmware

Kernel Headers for version 3.10.0-229.14.1.el7.x86_64 were not found. If you ....

# yum Install Kernel-devel-3.10.0-229.14.1.el7.x86_64-y

View post-installation results
# cd/usr/src/kernels/
# LL

Copy the Version.h header file
# ln/usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-229.14.1.el7.x86_64/include/generated/uapi/linux/version.h/usr/src/kernels/ 3.10.0-229.14.1.el7.x86_64/include/linux/version.h

Start VMware

# vmware
