Locate file name

Search by file name in the background database, search faster

/var/lib/mlocate

Background database files that are searched by the Locate command

The database file is updated one day by default and can be ordered

UpdateDB Updating the database

Locate Search rule configuration file:

/etc/updatedb.conf

prune_bind_mounts= "yes" to open search limits

prunefs file systems that are not searched when searching

prunepaths path not searched when searching

prunenames file types that are not searched when searching
