WC: View File Statistics usage: $ WC filename

1. $ WC fileName

$ WC FileName

X Y Z/desktop/hello

X: Indicates the number of rows

Y: Indicates the number of words

Z: Indicates the number of bytes

/desktop/hello: Indicates file name

2. $ wc-l FileName

-l option to count only the number of file rows information

3. $ wc-w FileName

-W option to count only the number of words in the file.

4. $ wc-c FileName

-C option to count only the number of bytes in the file.

5. $ wc-l FileName

-l option to count the length of the longest line in the file.
