Linux father Linus Torvalds joins Microsoft!
A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced the Linux SQL Server. A few weeks ago, they announced Linux on Windows. In March 31, they announced VC ++ support for Linux. In April 1, they announced a major announcement-Linus Torvalds joined Microsoft !! I can't imagine the expression of Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft. After Satya Nadella took office as CEO of Microsoft, his every move was truly shocking.
Of course, many people now ask what is the working role of Linus in Windows. Linus joined Microsoft as Senior Technical Fellow. He has the same title as Dave Cutler who invented the NT System. His role is to port more products on Windows systems to Linux.
Here, Microsoft wants to achieve the ultimate goal of retiring the entire Windows operating system product line to support Linux! Imagine that all of your Microsoft products are running on Linux and no longer need Windows. Windows may be phased out in the next few years. It will be Linux in the future!
All in all, Linus Torvalds will actively influence Microsoft, and I am very much looking forward to the direction of this franchise!
