Linux -- fedora21 PC installation and dial-up Internet access and unlimited Internet access, linux -- fedora21pc
I recently went home and learned linux, which has not been used for a long time. I used ubuntu during training. I checked fedora which is most suitable for developers, So I installed it for a try. At the beginning, I had to dial up the Internet. After three days of searching, I finally solved the problem of wireless Internet access! I want to help students interested in fedora!
- Device notebook (the best hardware model is the mainstream, and the compatibility problem is hard to solve) + A network cable that can access the Internet
- Procedure
2. Set wireless Internet access
After configuring the packet connection, you can first update the system using sudo yum update, view the model of the wireless network adapter, and enter lspci | grep-I network on the terminal.
[Lsf @ lsf ~] $ Lspci | grep-I network
. 0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
I have found many posts for this network card model, but I did not find it. When I searched for the compatibility of the network card, I found a post that perfectly solved this problem. The method is as follows:
Use root directly
Yumlocalinstall -- nogpgcheckhttp: // download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
Http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
Then run yuminstall kmod-wl directly.
Last reboot.
Then, the lovely NetworkManager shows wifi...
That's all about it! Let's look at my desktop!
