1. File owner, user group, other user?

In Linux, any file has individual permissions for User,group and others three identities.

User is the owner of this document.

The group where the group is currently a user.

R for readable, W for writable, X for executable (not in order)

3. What is the difference between the home directory and the root directory?

The home directory is the user's home directory, which is specified when the user is added. For different users, the home directory is different.

For users named user, the default home directory is the/home/user,root user exception, and its default home directory is/root.
