The most important thing on the motherboard is the chipset! And the chipset is usually divided into two bridges to control the communication of the components, respectively:

(1) North Bridge: Responsible for connecting the fast CPU, main memory and display cards and other components

(2) South Bridge: Responsible for the slow connection of the peripheral interface, including hard disk, USB, network card and so on

The main difference between AMD and Intel architecture is that AMD main memory is directly communicating with the CPU and not through the North Bridge! AMD in order to speed up the communication between the two, so the memory control components integrated into the CPU, in theory this can speed up the CPU and main memory transfer speed!

The main components are: CPU, memory, disk device (Ide/sata), Bus chipset (South Bridge/North Bridge), graphics Interface (pci-express) , and other adapter cards (PCI).

To put it simply, the frequency is the number of times the CPU can work per second.
