wget http://fastdl.mongodb.org/linux/mongodb-linux-x86_64-2.6.9.tgz

Extract

Tar xvf mongodb-linux-x86_64-2.6.9.tgz

Change Folder name

MV Mongodb-linux-x86_64-1.8.5/mongodb

Move to the Data directory

MV Mongodb/data

New Data File storage directory

mkdir-pv/data/mongodb/db

Create a file storage directory for MongoDB logs

Mkdir-pv/data/mongodb/logs

Start MongoDB

/data/mongodb/bin/mongod--dbpath=/data/mongodb/db--logpath=/data/mongodb/logs/mongodb.log

Show:

Tue Feb 11:29:19 [Initandlisten] waiting for connections on port 27017
Tue Feb 11:29:19 [websvr] Web admin interface listening on port 28017

MongoDB default connection port is 27017.
