Linux intercepts log steps based on date

1. go to the log directory (approximate steps below):

under the Linux command line, go to the Tomcat installation directory, and then open the logs folder

2. because the log file is too large, with the command to intercept 9 months After the log information, stored in the new file test.log, the command is:sed -N '/2017\/09\/26 [0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9]/,/2017\/10\/13 23:59:59/p ' catalina.out > Test.log

(note here \ to/escape, make date format perfect, command not error)

3. after interception, review the Test.log file size to determine that the log has been successfully intercepted, with the command:ls-lht
