Tophtop

If the system does not have htop installed , then install it.

However, this is a hassle,System Monitor is a good choice,System Monitor can display network speed, memory,CPU and other information.

To install by adding a PPA :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fossfreedom/indicator-sysmonitorsudo apt-get update  sudoinstall indicator-sysmonitor

In terminal execution:

Indicator-sysmonitor &

Then Ctrl + C for background run indicator-sysmonitor

Set boot up: Right click on title bar, pop-up menu, select Run on startup
