Linux libreoffice adds Fonts

Due to copyright issues, Linux lacks common Chinese fonts by default. libreoffice uses fonts from the system/usr/share/fonts, this causes the font to be incorrect when libreoffice opens a Chinese document.

There are two solutions. The first one is a common method that works for all users. The second is perfect, especially for Ubuntu users.

1. The most common solution is to copy the font in Windows to/usr/share/fonts, which is globally valid.

For example, we copy simsun. TTC in the font c: \ windows \ fonts under windows to the main file of the current user.

To open the terminal:

Sudo CP simsun. TTC/usr/share/Fonts

CD/usr/share/Fonts

Modify permissions

Sudo chmod 644 simsun. TTC

Update font cache:

Sudo FC-Cache-FV

HoweverIt will damage the default font settings of the system.Especially for Ubuntu, because the priority of is higher than that of wenquanyi, the system takes the first. By default, the beautiful smooth Vector font will become the of the dot matrix. What should I do?

2. the most perfect solution:

Linux is a multi-user, but our own computer usually only uses one common user, so, we only need to let the font take effect for ourselves, this will not damage the system font settings.

Open main folder

Press Ctrl + H to display the hidden folder and open. libreoffice

Go to 3/user in sequence to create a folder Fonts

Copy the font to the fonts folder.
