Linux playback software for Windows laptops

Latest information on the LinuxAID.com.cn site: NEC recently announced the installation of a built-in Linux Media Player in its own laptop. It is introduced that NEC Versa S3000 uses InterVideo's InstantOn software to play music and watch DVDs, and does not need to wait for Windows to start.

Another major notebook manufacturer, Toshiba, announced the launch of the Qosmio laptop as early as July, and also used the Linux-based media playback software. NEC revealed that new products will first be sold in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

InterVideo launched InstantOn in March of this year, and added the PVR (personal video recorder) feature in March of this year. InstantON includes Linux-based kernels, drivers, engines, applications, user interfaces, remote control, and optimization modules.
