Linux (Red Hat 6 32-bit) install Mysql5.6.30

1. Download MySQL 5.6

Download page: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

Here Select "Red Hat Enterprise linux 6/oracle Linux 6 (x86, 32-bit), RPM Bundle" Download, download to/root/fuxian/directory, download file named "Mysql-5.6.30-1.el 6.i686.rpm-bundle.tar "

2. Unzip the TAR package

cd/fuxian/downloads/

TAR-XVF Mysql-5.6.30-1.el6.i686.rpm-bundle.tar

Note: You can also download the following several RPM files separately, the pro-test is feasible!

3. Install MySQL in rpm mode

In a rhel system, the "mysql-shared-compat-5.6.30-1.el6.i686.rpm" Compatibility Pack must be installed before the server and client can be installed, or an error will be installed.

Yum Install mysql-shared-compat-5.6.30-1.el6.i686.rpm # Rhel Compatibility Pack

4. Configure MySQL login password

Cat/root/.mysql_secret # Get random passwords generated when MySQL is installed
Service MySQL start # start MySQL Services
Mysql-uroot-p # Enter MySQL, use the random password obtained before
SET PASSWORD for ' root ' @ ' localhost ' = PASSWORD (' 123456 '); # Set the root account password to 123456 on the MySQL command line
Quit # quit MySQL command line
Service MySQL Restart # restart MySQL Services
