LINUX RedHat6.4 Uninstall your own JDK and install a new JDK

1. View the current Java version of the system:

[Email protected]/]$ java-version

2. View current Java compiler and uninstall:

[Email protected]/]$ Rpm-qa|grep GCJ

[Email protected]/]$ rpm-e--nodeps java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0-29.1.el6.x86_64

3. Check the RPM installed JDK version and uninstall:

[Email protected]/]$ Rpm-qa|grep JDK

[Email protected]/]$ rpm-e--nodeps java*

4. Extracting files: Jdk-6u45-linux-x64.bin

5. Copy the extracted files to the/usr/local folder

6. Edit/etc/profile file Append:

Export java_home=/usr/local/jdk1.6.0_45
Export path= $PATH: $JAVA _home/bin
Export classpath=.: $JAVA _home/lib/tools.jar: $JAVA _home/lib/rt.jar
