Within one hour, you can build your own Linux server on Amazon cloud. No joke. This is really simple. Read down.

There are a variety of Linux servers. Some of the most complicated ones require you to be a Red Hat certified engineer (RHCE ). Many of them require you not only to download a release version, burn it to a CD, install and start your new bare metal machine. However, for example, if the boss wants to finish a special job on the server yesterday, what should you do? Well, a wise choice is TurnKey Linux.

Using TurnKey Linux, the only hardware you need is any device that can use Web browsers and credit cards. This is because, although you can run TurnKey Linux on common servers or VMWare, OpenStack, and OpenVZ, but the easiest and quickest way to do this is to put your server on Amazon Elastic Computing cloud (EC2 ).

The following is how it works.

TurnKey Linux has been built on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 until recently. Now, the core TurnKey Linux is migrating to the old but robust Debian Squeeze (6.0.4) Linux release. However, "Lima" requires a server without having to worry about what is happening on the table. Yes. All you need to do is select the appropriate TurnKey Linux server.

As you can see, TurnKey provides over 45 different ready-made servers. These servers include a basic Linux Apache; MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl (LAMP) stack; multiple content management systems, such as Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress; communication systems, including Zimbra email and ejabberd instant messaging; programming platform; and basic office servers, such as file servers and master domain name controllers for Windows network systems. In short, whatever server you need, TurnKey can also be prepared for you.

To get a server of your own, the next step is to teach you how to do it.

First, you need to register an account. You can log on manually or by using OpenID.

In either case, you may be redirected to a screen to allow you to install resources on your server on EC2. To complete this operation, you must have an Amazon cloud computing service (AWS) account.

Creating an AWS account is as easy as creating an Amazon account to buy books. In fact, if you have an Amazon account, you are only half a step away from obtaining an AWS account. With an AWS account, you must log on to EC2 by yourself.
