Unpacking the installation package

TAR-ZXF apache-tomcat-7.0.81.tar.gz

MV APACHE-TOMCAT-7.0.81/USR/LOCAL/TOMCAT7

Cd/usr/local/tomcat7

Start Tomcat

./bin/startup.sh

After startup, use the NETSTAT-NTLP command to see if the Tomcat port is listening.

If there is no Tomcat process, the JDK or JRE path is wrong

Modify the Tomcat port

1. Edit the Tomcat configuration file

# Vi/usr/local/tomcat7/conf/server.xml (refer to your server installation path, whichever is the case)

Deactivate #/usr/local/tomcat7/bin/shutdown.sh

Enable #/usr/local/tomcat7/bin/startup.sh

After modifying the port, remember to release the port on the firewall
