Keeweb can store passwords offline or online

Keeweb is a cross-platform Password Manager. It can store all your passwords offline and synchronize them to your own cloud storage service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox. Keeweb does not provide its own online database to synchronize your password.

To use Keeweb to connect to your online storage service, you only need to click "more" on the interface and then click the service you want to use.

Now, Keeweb prompts you to log on to your cloud disk. After successful logon, authorize Keeweb to use your account.

Store Passwords Using Keeweb

It is very easy to use Keeweb to store your password. You can use a complex password to encrypt your password file. Keeweb also allows you to use a key file to lock the password file, but I do not recommend this method. If a guy gets your key file, he just needs to click it to unlock your password file.

Create Password

To create a new password, simply click "+" and then you will see all the input boxes to be filled in. Create more password records based on your needs.

Search Password

Keeweb has an icon library so that you can easily find various password records. You can change the icon color, download more icons, or even import icons directly from your computer. This is an exception for password search.

Similar service passwords can be grouped so that you can find them in a folder. You can also tag your passwords and store them in different categories.

If you like bright theme similar to white or high contrast, you can modify it in "Settings> General> theme. Keeweb has four optional themes, two of which are dark and the other two are bright.

Do not like Linux Password Manager? No problem!

Some people disagree with the use of any password manager. In this article, I want to clarify that it is our responsibility to store password files. I think password managers like keepass and Keeweb are very useful because they do not have their own clouds to store your passwords. These cryptographic manager will create a file, and then you can store it on your hard disk, or use an application like VeraCrypt to encrypt it. I personally do not use and do not recommend services that store passwords in their own databases.
