Linux team joins Intel to assist in Atom program development

Intel launched the Moblin project last summer. The project maintains a multi-layer sandbox (Virtual Environment) based on "Chroot". The goal is to standardize the development tools of Atom programs. In the "Chroot" at the lowest layer, sandbox is used to create a Linux program environment similar to Poky Linux.

Moblin was recently upgraded to 2.0. Intel's Linux and open-source strategy director Dirk Hohndel said that version 1.0 did not interest programmers, but with the advent of MID devices, as more and more software and web services support Moblin and MID devices, the platform has also taken a major step forward.
