Linux Ubuntu MySQL garbled

After entering MySQL, you can see the character encoding problem of MySQL by typing the command status.

The default is as follows:

Server characterset:latin1

Db characterset:latin1

Client characterset:latin1

Conn. characterset:latin1

So in the development time to change the character, because Iatin1 encoding does not support Chinese.

After ubuntu12.04, if you want to set up MySQL to display Chinese correctly, only need to be in the file/etc/mysql/my.cnf

Add this line below [mysqld]

Then save and restart the MySQL service: sudo restart MySQL

Note that this setting can show the Chinese only the table created from this moment, the previous table is not effective.
