Linux under Yum installation mysql5.6

Environment: Rhel6.5 mysql5.6

1. Download the yum source for MySQL, address http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/yum/

2. Upload to the System/root/directory

3.RPM Installation

RPM-IVH mysql57-community-release-el6-7.noarch.rpm

4. Modify the Yum source for MySQL

Note : enable=0 is disabled, since the version 5.6 is installed, you need to modify the enable in the 5.7 version below to 0

5.yum Installation

Yum Install-y mysql-community-server

Note : Before this step, verify that MySQL is not installed in the system

6. Start the service

Service mysqld Start

At this point, the installation is complete!
