The normal steps are simple, click Install VMware Tools under the virtual machines option in VMware Workstation. But today I don't know what the situation is. VMware Tools can't even point ...
Here's how to fix it:
- Turn off the virtual machine, stand-alone virtual machine –> settings, click the CD/DVD in the virtual machine Setup interface, and then click "Use ISO image file" in the right window.
- Select the corresponding ISO image file: Find the virtual machine installed drive letter, enter the VMware Workstation directory, you can see the ISO file, select the type of operating system you need. (I need to install Linux, so choose Linux.iso)
After selecting and determining, restart the virtual machine, you can see a DVD icon in the lower left corner, click Enter, you can see a vmwaretools compressed package.
- Press the shortcut key ctrl+alt+t to enter the command line: Enter the following command
cp /media/VMware\ Tools/VMwareTools-9.9.2-2496486.tar.gz ./tar xvf VMwareTools-9.9.2-2496486.tar.gz cd vmware-tools-distrib/sudo ./vmware-install.pl
