Therefore, if we independently manage the VPS server, we can use SFTP transmission mode absolute rights to manage the Web site and system files.
Our commonly used FTP tools have SFTP functions, such as we may commonly used WINSCP, FlashFXP, but Chiang also saw a friend in the use of FlashFXP tools without SFTP transmission, I have in the use of the local. First, the use of SFTP transmission tools
The above is the WINSCP tool, you can choose FTP, SFTP, SCP, WebDAV 4 kinds of models, generally we will use the first two kinds more. This tool is also relatively clean and the speed is good.
Similarly, in the FlashFXP tool, the site can be added to see the SFTP transfer mode. The account is filled in with our VPS server root account, if there are modified ports we need to modify the default 22 to a custom port.
Second, the SFTP website file management
The first time we log in is in the root directory, not see any files required by the site files, many people get into here and lost, did not see their own site files where. This is not urgent, we click on the arrow pointing above, be sure to double-click.
Then, depending on the specific relationship we have to install the site, such as the Lnmp script for my environment here, the default site directory is in the home folder and we need to double-click it.
Then into the Wwwroot directory, you can see our site domain name identification directory, this is the site that we added the directory. We need to edit the website files right here.
Third, SFTP transmission mode Management Summary
1, if we personally manage VPS, servers, there is no need to create an FTP account to manage, you can use SFTP transmission mode.
2, we use the SFTP transmission way to manage the website and the system file, must be absolutely cautious each file edits and replaces. Because we have absolute permissions, the replacement error can cause the system to crash. So when editing an indeterminate file, it's best to copy a source file
