When installing PHP, remember to turn off the three options
1. Debug Mode
2. Thread Safety
3. Enable Versioning
Otherwise, Zend Optimizer will not run even if it is successfully installed.
I re-compiled PHP and removed debug to solve the problem.
The three options above are shown in the zend optimized pdf manual .... This is one of the reasons that make me even more depressed. If I find the reason on the internet, I will be around without thinking of the answer. I will read more manuals and read more README when installing software .....
