I don't think that using Emacs can improve the level of a programmer, or that several middle-aged celebrities use (or use) Emacs to prove something special.

But when my level is worse than it is now, knowing that the cows in my mind is (or was) an Emacs user, is one of the key reasons I continue to use and learn. So built this list, hope to be able to play a number of beginners to refer to (wrong) guiding role.

This list will be updated on an irregular basis (recently updated above) and is welcome to be amended and supplemented.

Note: Most of the people I cite in this list are not known for using and developing Emacs, so the more precise title of this article should be: "Well-known Emacs users who are not known for Emacs."
