The reason is that after the patch is installed, the authentication method between exchange 2013 and Exchange 2007 has changed. When the user opens the proxy mailbox, exchange2013 fainted because he cannot understand the 2007 Verification Application... All these bugs...

KB: 2997847. After cu6 is hit, if the mailbox is still not migrated on Exchange 2007, you exchange2013 will not be able to communicate with Exchange 2007 through proxy ActiveSync. The reason is that the verification fails between servers. However, this time, the storage will not crash because it is 2013 de-verification and 2007 verification, but the communication only fails.

If you are upgrading Exchange 2007 to 2013, please note that you should not install the latest patch for exchange 2013 cu6. Otherwise, it may be affected by the above two problems.

If you are using the office365 and exchange 2013 hybrid modes, please note that do not install the latest exchange 2013 cu6 patch. You will find that you cannot manage the cloud mailbox in the EAC, in addition, HCW cannot run properly (Mixed Mode Configuration Wizard. The reason is that the EAC configuration is incorrect.

If you find that after installing exchange 2013 cu6, OWA users cannot click a new email or reply to the email, please refer to the solution below.
Cause: the contents in the "V15 \ clientaccess \ OWA \ Prem \ 15.0.995.31" directory are not correctly copied during cu6 installation, leading to the lack of required files for OWA.
Solution:
1. Rename the "V15 \ clientaccess \ OWA \ Prem \ 15.0.995.31" Directory
2. Copy one copy from the previous version. For example, copy one copy from "15.0.995.29" to the new directory 15.0.995.31.
