LM236/LM336-2.5V Reference Diode
The lm236/lm336 IC is a precision 2. The 5V shunt regulator operates as a 2.5V Zener diode with a low temperature coefficient and dynamic resistance of 0.2ω, where the fine-tuning end (adj) allows for fine-tuning of the reference voltage and temperature coefficient. Its typical performance parameters are:
Low temperature coefficient: 6MV/9MV/18MV;
Wide operating current range: 300ua--10ma;
Dynamic resistance: 0.2Ω;
Maximum forward current: 10mA;
Maximum reverse current ' 15mA.

In TO-46 and TO-92 packages, the shape is shown in Figure 1 (a) and (b).
Application examples
Figure 2 (a) Figure 2 (b)
Figure 2 (a) is the basic application circuit of the LM136 series, in which the 10kω potentiometer can be used to regulate the breakdown voltage without affecting the device's temperature coefficient.
As shown in Fig. 2 (b), the temperature coefficient can be improved when a silicon diode is connected in series at the upper and lower ends of the l0kω potentiometer. The temperature coefficient is minimized when the voltage is adjusted to 2.940V.
