What formats of spatial data can be imported to postgis? There must be a lot of data. My data source is in the SHP format. After installing the postgis module, I directly choose postgis shapefile and DBF loader. If you are using other formats you can go to SHP and then export, of course you can also direct, direct export there is such a tool ogr2gui (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ogr2gui ).
Ogr2gui is a GUI based on ogr2ogr. You don't have to write complicated command lines!
Next we will start to export data.
1. First create a database island:
2. Open postgis shapefile and DBF loader. the dialog box is displayed as follows:
Click Options to set the encoding format:
3. After the data is imported, let's look at the table structure:
The database has two metadata tables: geometry_columns and spatial_ref_sys.
The geometry_columns table stores information about all the geometric fields in the current database. For example, my current database contains two spatial tables, which can be found in the geometry_columns table.
The definitions of geometric fields in the two spatial tables.
Spatial_ref_sys stores the OGC specification space reference.
4. Finally, let's look at the map we loaded in qgis (the qgis operation will be introduced later ):
