IP spoofing is also a very useful feature that LoadRunner itself with.
Need to use IP spoofing reason: 1, when a certain IP access is too frequent, or the traffic is too large, the server will deny access requests, this time through IP spoofing can increase the frequency of access and traffic to achieve the effect of stress testing. 2, some servers configured load balancing, using the same IP can not detect the actual performance of the system. IP spoofing in LR by invoking different IP, can largely simulate the actual use of multiple IP access and test the server's balance processing capabilities. 3, some sites will limit the same user to the same IP landing. For a more realistic simulation of the actual situation, LoadRunner allows virtual users to run to the same site using different IP.
How IP spoofing is set up
Turn on HP loadrunner---->tools---->IP Wizard
What's the situation?! We need to configure a fixed IP for their own computers, configure a fixed IP way, you know!
The following goes into the formal configuration process:
First step:
Create new setting Set up
When you use IP spoofing for the first time or have released an added IP, you need to select this to create a new setting.
Load Previous settings fro read IP list file
Read an IP address from a list of previously set IP addresses
Restore original setting release IP that has been set
Releases the IP address that has been added.
Select the default check: Create new setting (creating a fresh setting), click "Next"
Step Two:
To enter the IP address of the server, LoadRunner updates the routing table through this address. After a new IP address is added to the client computer, the server needs to add the address to the routing table so that the route returned to the client can be recognized. If the server and client have the same subnet mask, IP class, and network, you do not need to modify the server's routing table.
If there is a router between the client and the server computer, the server needs to identify the path through the router. Ensure that the following routes are added to the Server routing table: routes from the WEB server to the router, and routes from the router to all IP addresses on the load generator computer.
Here is nothing to add, click "Next".
