Lost interrupt error during Slackware startup

Source: Internet
Author: User

Motherboard: PVP800-VM, ASUS

HDD: Seagate 80 Gb, IDE.

Operating System: Slackware 11 (2.4x/2.6 test kernel) and Slackware 12 (2.6.18 kernel ).

Fault:

Start the disc with Slackware 11 and prepare for installation (check whether the disc is correct). After operating the Boot Check, "lost interrupt" is displayed. After 10 minutes:

Hda: DMA interrupt recovery

Hda: dma_time_expiry: dma status = 0x24

Both 2.4x and 2.6 test kernels are the same.

With the Slackware 12 (2.6.18 kernel), boot the boot disc is normal, and check the original hard disk partition. After the partition is deleted and saved, start with Slackware 11. The fault persists.

Solution: After the BIOS is discharged, reload the default configuration.
