Mac Configuration Start MongoDB

1. Create a new folder for storing database files. It is recommended to put it in the folder of your own username and it will be much easier without sudo.

Under the user's own username environment: mkdir [folder name]

2. Go to the MongoDB Bin directory and execute the mongod command:

./mongod--dbpath ~/[folder name]

PS: If you do not specify a path, MongoDB defaults to "/data/db" as the database file

3. Restart a terminal window and go to the bin directory to execute the MONGO command:

./mongo

4. If you want to close: Ctrl + C
