Learn about common Mac OS X shortcuts. The shortcut key is used to call Mac OS X by pressing the combination key on the keyboard.

To use shortcuts or key combinations, you can press the modifier key and character key at the same time.

For example, if you press the Command key (the key marked with a symbol) and the "c" Key simultaneously, any selected content (text, graphics, etc.) is copied to the cart. This is also called
Command-C key combination (or shortcut key ).
Many key combinations contain modifier keys. The modifier will change the interpretation of Mac OS X by pressing another key or clicking the mouse. Modifiers include Command, Control, Option, Shift, Caps Lock, and (portable Mac only) fn keys.

 

The modifier that appears in the Mac OS X menu is as follows:

Start shortcut
Press the key or combination key until you execute/enter the expected function (for example, press and hold the Option during startup until you enter "Start manager ", or press Shift during startup until "secure startup" is executed "). Tip: If the startup function does not work and you are using a third-party keyboard, connect to the Apple keyboard and try again.

Note: Some applications may not support the following keys for all applications.

(*) Note: If no text is selected, the extension starts from the insert point position. If you drag and drop the selected text, it will expand from the boundary of the selected content. Reversing the selected content will cancel the selection of the corresponding part.

Universal assistance-mouse keys
After you open the mouse button in the "universal assistance" preference settings, you can use the key on the keyboard or numeric keypad to move the mouse pointer. If the computer does not have a keypad, use the Fn (function) Key.

Advanced: This document describes the default modifier key allocation. You can change the modifier assignment in the keyboard and mouse preference settings in system preference settings.

For example, you can change the Command key as the Option key, and vice versa. You can also restore the default modifier key settings.
