Quartz Quartz is a new and powerful 2D graphic image system. The original graphics image can be quickly modified, anti distortion and synthetic processing. The Quartz built-in PDF format allows you to embed and process PDF data, even in PDF format, and any application designed for Mac 0S X can handle this. As a result, you can easily create quartz enhanced, graphic image-rich documents to share with anyone.

Quartz supports TrueType, Type 1, and 0penType fonts. The font is beautifully decorated and is treated with advanced filtering techniques, so the screen effect and the printing effect are quite fine, as shown in Figure 1-12. The Mac 0S X10.2 also comes with a character library that contains classical, modern, and interesting fonts, as well as supporting the Turetype Chinese and English fonts in Windows.

Quartz supports Apple's color management technology--colorsync, so all applications that utilize quartz benefit from its consistent and accurate color processing.

QuickTime Mac 0S x contains QuickTime 6 player (shown in Figure 1-13), which allows you to play video in full screen, watch live events over the Internet, and open video, static pictures, and audio files in more than 30 standard formats, Supports MPEG-4 video and AAC audio.
