Mac OS X accessing Windows Shared Folders

Mac does not have network neighbors, but finder can be used to access files shared by windows in the LAN

 

1. Click "go to server" (or the shortcut key "command + k") in the "Finder" menu)

 

2. In the server connection dialog box, enter "SMB: // ip address of the Windows Host". SMB is the protocol name used to access the Windows Shared Folder,SMB: Server Message Block Protocol).

You can also use the computer name

 

3. After connecting to a Windows host, all the shared folders of the host are displayed. Select the one you want to access.

 

Now, you can directly modify, delete, and copy the shared directory. This depends on the permission settings for sharing.
