    1. Background of the problem

The recent issue of a spine (er 4) Hand (bi 1) leads to this article. The reasons are as follows:

      • I upgraded my iPhone to IOS 9.1
      • The Xcode version must be >= 7.1 to build the APP on IOS 9.1 devices
      • Installing Xcode 7.1 requires a minimum OS X version of El Capitan
      • El Capitan requires disk FileVault unencrypted or fully encrypted and cannot be in the following states: Encrypting, decrypting, encrypting paused, optimizing, etc.

If you want to go straight to the solution, skip to the 2nd bar to read.

I hope you didn't get dizzy. Then I'll just upgrade OS X just fine. However, the prompt fails when OS X upgrades to El Capitan. Online to say to close the FileVault.

Well, I didn't turn on FileVault. Tried several times no way, can only try to "first open FileVault encryption complete, and then decrypt" this wonderful method.

So long encryption began, probably encrypted for a few hours (online some friends said encryption for a few days, may be related to device performance, my Macbook is three years ago, but also SSD, CPU custom-made up to the maximum of 16GB, show off, spit tongue). But! is not completed, but instead becomes the "encryption paused" state.

This will not be able to go to heaven, exhausted all methods on the Internet, are invalid, unable to make "encryption paused" into a completely unencrypted state or the completion of encryption.

Tears Run is no use, regret the hand of upgrading IOS 9.1 is also useless (in fact the Club team must have at least one iOS 9.1 device, not the hand is cheap).

    2. Solutions

There are many similar questions on the Internet that are often mentioned:

The ultimate solution for contacting Apple Customer service is to re-install the system "...

This Nima is not the pit father!? My 256GB SSD is filled with all kinds of files, and as the main working equipment, the reloading system will undoubtedly greatly affect the work.

Later I wondered if I could burn a startup disk and then start my MacBook with an external boot disk to fix the encryption problem in my MacBook. Finally proved to be feasible.

    3. Burning OS X startup USB Drive

Use the free software Disk maker X to get it done. Attention:

      • Prepare a USB flash drive with a minimum of 8GB.
      • It is best to have previously downloaded El Capitan, or burning before using DiskMaker X is now downloaded El Capitan is still quite slow. The way to download in advance is to choose to upgrade to El Capitan in the Mac App Store.
      • The Burning process is very simple, nothing to say.
    4. Repair "Encryption paused" disk in Mac device
      • Plug the El Capitan boot drive into the USB port.
      • While restarting the device, hold down the option key.
      • Select boot the device by booting the USB stick.
      • After you select the system language, open disk Utility.
      • Use Disk utility to unlock the disks in your device.
      • Select Emergency Repair (AID) after unlocking.

Be sure to "unlock" before your disk is repaired and no eggs are used.

    5. Continue to encrypt

After the above operation is done, restart the computer and use the system disk inside the device to start. After booting to "system Preferences-security and privacy", you will find that "encryption paused" becomes "encrypting" or "optimizing".

To be optimized (at least for a few hours, depending on your disk's storage status and device performance), you don't have to decrypt it to install El Capitan, and the process goes smoothly.

6, drink beer, experience El Capitan bar!

In fact, I think the biggest change is to support the split screen, no longer to drag their own windows.
