MAC keyboard shortcuts
You can press certain key combinations to implement actions that typically require a mouse, trackpad, or other input device.
To use a keyboard shortcut, press and hold one or more modifier keys, and then press the last key of the shortcut key. For example, to use Command-c (copy), hold down the Command key and press the C key, and then release both keys at the same time. Mac menus and keyboards often use symbols for certain keys, including the following modifier keys:
- Option (or Alt)?
- Control (or Ctrl)?
On a Windows PC-only keyboard, use the ALT key instead of the Option key to replace the Command key with the Windows flag key.
Some keys on the Apple keyboard have special symbols and features, such as display brightness, keyboard brightness, dispatch center, and so on. If these features are not available on your keyboard, you may be able to generate some of these features by creating your own keyboard shortcuts. To use these keys as F1, F2, F3, or other standard function keys, combine them with the Fn key.
