Many people know that in Windows, the system will have built-in FTP functions ~ However, we made some configuration when using it. In Mac OS, many users usually use third-party FTP software to build FTP servers or share files. But today, we can share this FTP file through the file sharing function provided by Mac OS. This is simpler and more efficient than Windows.
Make the following settings on the Macbook:
1. Open the "System Preferences"-> "Share" dialog box and check "File Sharing" in the list on the left;
2. Click the "(option) Options" button in the dialog box;
3. Check "Share files and folders using FTP" in the dialog box that appears later;
In Mac OS X Lion, there are only two sharing methods available: "AFP" and "SMB" (Windows). Here we select "SMB"
4. Click "finish" to complete the settings.
Open the resource manager or browser on a Windows machine and enter the following in the address bar:
Ftp: // macbook user name: macbook password @ macbook IP address
In this way, all files on the Macbook can be accessed through FTP.
