Google Analytics is a free Google service that allows owners and administrators of the site to monitor the traffic and conversion rates of their sites. Magento supports two types of tracing:

  • Page view Tracking: Lists the origin of the links to the visitors, that is, from which link the visitor entered your store.
  • E-commerce tracking: Lists the products that are extremely purchased by customers who have reached a deal.

First, you need to register in http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_up.html. You will receive a Google Analytics account. Write it down, because you'll need it when the Magento is set.

Now you need to configure Google Analytics in your store. Sign in to your Magento backend and go to the Google Analytics area, Sales---with the System---
