In Windows 7, the System Restore menu appears when the user presses F8. There will also be a F10 button for the user to open the startup parameter editor. However, the parameter manager is only temporary, and more options are available with the help of Msconfig.
This method can also be used on Vista or Server 2008 installation discs. When you are prompted to press any key to start from CD/DVD, tap 2, 3, and then the Windows Boot Manager appears again, and the Windows installation option appears in the list.
Vista has a slightly different startup option than Windows XP. In XP, the user must start the option by pressing F8, which is still valid in Vista, but the user can also achieve the same effect by pressing the blank key. In addition, as Vista's successor, Windows 7 will inherit this tradition by pressing the blank key when the BIOS is loaded and exhaling the Windows Startup Manager.
In addition to pressing F8 in Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, there are other ways to turn on startup options. The next time you reboot, you can try to press the blank key before the Windows splash screen appears after the BIOS load is complete. If you press the blank key at that time, the Windows Startup Manager will appear. At this point, the user can choose the OS arbitrarily, or press F8 to open the Restore function table and so on.
