1. Physical Layer: complete original bit transmission.

2. data link layer: reliable data transmission between adjacent nodes.

3. Network Layer: complete data transmission between any two points.

4. Transport Layer: completes data communication between two processes on two hosts.

5. Session Layer: completes session management between processes.

6. Presentation Layer: completes data format conversion, data encryption, and compression.

7. Application Layer: an interface for users to access the network.
