Major new iOS vulnerabilities: Apple's review mechanism can be bypassed

IOS is currently the most secure and reliable mobile platform, but since it is software, it will not be invincible. Researchers at Georgia Tech Information Security Center recently claimed they have recently discovered major iOS vulnerabilities.

The agency said in the report that this vulnerability is likely to become the "primary threat to the existing iOS system", and it can be difficult for users to detect a strange situation, install malware through seemingly harmless applications. It is reported that this vulnerability can help attackers allow malware to bypass Apple's application review mechanism and install it directly on iOS devices. Theoretically, third-party social network applications are the most ideal carrier.

To prove their argument, the team also introduced a conceptual attack method called Jekyll, which they described as follows: "Jekyll allows the malicious part of the application to be hidden from Apple's review and discovery, and of course it will be able to pass." Jekyll can attack a variety of methods, such as posting tweets, getting photos, sending emails and text messages. It can even attack other applications.

Fortunately, the Georgia Technical Information Security Center noted that Apple was working to solve the above problems. In addition,IOS 7 has completely fixed this vulnerability.
