If you're designing PowerPoint slides that are messy, too text, and unattractive, you can't capture the attention of others while demonstrating and effectively deliver important information. Here's a look at some of the principles and methods that can help us create professional and compelling PowerPoint presentation slides.

One, keep simple

PowerPoint slides themselves are never the protagonist of the demo, the audience is the protagonist. Slides are just people used to help you listen, feel, or receive messages from you, so don't let the slides get in the way, don't make them too complex or full of chart trash, and you should try to be concise.

Slides should leave a lot of blank space, or space around the entity. Do not be forced to fill these blank areas with an impediment to understanding the identity or other unnecessary graphics or text boxes. The less clutter on a slide, the more intuitive the visual information it provides.

The object of the demo is the audience. But it is no good to use one or another point to make the audience tired. The applied text should also follow this principle. The best slides may not have any text at all. Remember, the purpose of the slides is to support the narrator's narrative, not to make the narrator redundant.

Often heard someone say: "Sorry, I didn't see your slides." I hear it's pretty good, can you send me your PowerPoint slides? But if they are good slides, they are of little use without your explanation.

So in addition to PowerPoint slides, it's also a good idea to prepare a written document that emphasizes and details the contents of the presentation. Sending detailed, written promotional material to the audience that explains the slides is better for the audience to understand the presentation than just PowerPoint slides. After the demo is complete, you'll have to give the audience a detailed promotional material or print, so you don't have to use a lot of text to populate PowerPoint slides.

Iii. limiting transitions and animations

It's good to add some animations when making PowerPoint presentations, but stick with the most exquisite and professional animations. You should use the animation and slide transitions with caution, just highlight the points.

For the essentials, it's OK to use simple left-to-right animations, but move or drift (Fly) animations are too tedious and slow (however, many demos today use this form of animation). A frame-by-frame animation quickly bores the audience. As for transitions between slides, you need to use only two to three types of transition effects and don't add effects between all slides.

Four, the use of high-quality pictures

Use high-quality pictures, including photos. You can use a digital camera to take high-quality photos, purchase a professional gallery, or use a large number of high-quality image resources on the network. (But be careful about copyright issues.) It is absolutely impossible to simply stretch small, low-resolution photos to fit the layout of the slides-only to further reduce the resolution of the picture.

Avoid using PowerPoint clip art or other cartoon-style lines. And, if the software contains these, the audience has seen it countless times before. It may be interesting to use this content in the 1993, but now applying clip art will reduce the professional level of the producer. Of course, there are exceptions, and not all PowerPoint clips are annoying, but it's good to use them carefully.

I often use character pictures on slides because the character photos help to increase the emotional connection between the viewer and the slides. If the photo is in a secondary position, I reduce opacity and add a Gaussian blur or dynamic filter to Photoshop; If the photo is in the main area and I want the viewer to pay attention to it (for example, the product picture), then the picture can become more noticeable, and it doesn't have to be a lot of (or do not need) a text description.
