Make a Windows system disc: Pack Win7 and win8/8.1 together

Source: Internet

Usually install the system when I prefer win8.1, but often to others to install the system when others like Win7, but I think this is very troublesome, so I would like to do a closed plate, so it is convenient, Win7 flagship version inside actually encapsulated four systems, or a system, but there are four versions, just four version contains more features It's a little different, we can look at it by Onekey Ghost or some other tool, like,

Some other systems also like this encapsulation of several versions of the system, but we usually install the time is not prompted to choose to install that version of the system, but to install his default system, which is actually a ei.cfg file inside it to determine, Win7 system has this file, but win8/8.1 is not, because this file has a default system, so the installation of 7 does not remind us to install which one, and 8 does not have this file, so the installation did not remind us to install which system, If several versions of the system are included in 8, the system version is determined according to the installation serial number we entered, so we can achieve the multiple version selection interface when installing by modifying the ei.cfg file under the Sources folder in the image. , and 7 can actually delete this file to achieve this effect, but the Windows 8 image does not have this file, it's okay, we manually create a, the content format is as follows: (Perhaps you do not understand now, it's OK, I will write an example in detail later)

[EditionID]
{Edition ID}
[Channel]
{Channel Type}
[VL]
{Volume License} Note: [EditionID] Specifies the version. The default selection is the first, and the system version selection menu appears when EditionID has no content. [Channel] Specifies the license agreement. Specify either an OEM or retail (retailing) license agreement. For the starter version, the license agreement is OEM regardless of the [Channel] status. Retail to OEM can display the OEM installation protocol, otherwise it is RTL protocol. [VL] Specifies whether to bulk authorize when the value in [VL] is 0 or 1 o'clock, the first version specified in [EditionID] is automatically selected and a system version selection menu appears when the value in [VL] is greater than 1 o'clock.

Here, {Edition id} I did not fill in, leave blank to show the version list, of course you can also fill in, valid ID: Core, professional. Only fill in one, the installation will install the corresponding version, both fill in, the default installation of the first version, that is, written in the previous ID of the corresponding version, no, the version selection of the interface will appear. In either case, the interface for entering the key does not appear and the installation is paused. (This is not to say that there is no need to activate, please activate ^_^ after the installation is completed.)
After you have established the Ei.cfg file, you can edit the Win8 image by UltraISO, add the Ei.cfg file to the Sources folder, and save the image.
Note: Although the Enterprise Edition is the most comprehensive version, but the installation image does not contain multiple versions like Win7 's flagship version, it can be seen from their file size, Win8 > Win8 Enterprise Edition > Win8 Pro (VL), so the Enterprise Edition cannot be installed by this method for multi-version selection.

Okay, here's the procedure for packing the system:

Tools:

1.imagex

2.win7/8/8.1 image file (see what system you need, free choice, method)

Step: (Here I use my own preferred Win7 's flagship version and win8.1 Professional version for example to illustrate, are 64-bit system, but also to see their preferences, you can freely choose, the same way)

Extract the Install.wim folder from the respective mirror sources directory to the D packing directory using the compression software or the virtual optical drive, and rename the Win7 to install1.win,win8.1 Pro for Install2.wim respectively, because Win7 flagship edition contains 4 versions, win8.1 Pro Edition Contains two versions (core and professional), (not sure can be viewed with ImageX or Onekey ghost software).

Download the copy imagex.exe file to the D packing directory by yourself, as follows:

Administrator to open CMD,CD to D packing directory, enter command d:

And then it's packing win7, enter the command imagex/export D:\install1.wim 4 D:\install.wim

Add: The 4 in the command is the volume label of the Wim, which is the name of the operating system that is displayed on the installer, because I only need the fourth in four versions, that is, the flagship version, so I only input this command, if you have all like to add the same way to add 123, the method is the same.
Wim Volume Label:
Original win732 bit:
1: Beginner Edition
2: Family Normal edition
3: Home Premium Edition
4: Professional Edition
5: Flagship edition
1. Original win764 bit:
1: Family Normal edition
2: Home Premium Edition
3: Professional Edition
4: Flagship edition
Original WIN8, win8.1: Generally use 1th number on the line. Number 1th is pro, and number 2nd is the core version.

Then package the win8.1 in the same way, enter the command imagex/export D:\install2.wim 1 D:\install.wim

Long wait after the D-packing directory to see the install.wim image file, this is our labor results! Then open Notepad and enter the following, noting that the second line is a blank line:
[EditionID]

[Channel]
Retail
[VL]
999

Save As Ei.cfg, this is the first time I said that the file, the second line of empty lines and the last line of 999 is to let us choose to install the version, 999 in fact, as long as any number greater than 1 can be, and then the fourth row I choose the retail version, in fact, choose OEM can also, nothing to do. Of course you can also extract this file directly from the source folder in Win7 to make changes.
Open the original system image with a soft ultimatum or virtual optical drive, replace the original Install.wim file with our Install.wim file, and replace the original ei.cfg file with our ei.cfg file (if Win7 is the replacement, because 8/ 8.1 doesn't have this file, so just put it in.

System Image Save "Cn_windows_7&8.1_2in1_x64.iso" can be (the name actually see Personal wash, but to comply with naming rules, not Chinese characters and special character). Can replace the original Win7, or it can be the original WIN8, but only two different installation interface, the installation effect is the same!

Also note that I downloaded the Win7 is the SP1 version, is with the update, so the image of a directory, this directory should be the upgrade update directory, so I chose to replace the Win7 instead of win8, but in fact this is not a relationship,

Virtual machine test: Actually this time installs the win8.1, but is 7 installs the interface, because I replace is 7.

Unfortunately, the installation was wrong.

So the conclusion is that replacing 8 will not make a mistake.
