One, determine greeting card size
Click Page Setup under the Word 2000 File menu to open the Page Setup dialog box. Click the paper Size Pull button in the Paper Size tab to select the custom item in the Drop-down list. Depending on the size of your greeting card, change the width and height to the appropriate value, generally 17 cm wide and 12 cm high. Then, depending on the direction in which the greeting card is viewed, select landscape or portrait under orientation. Finally, click the OK button. (Figure 1)

Second, the modified version of the core size
For a greeting card for your computer to view, you should open the Page Setup window again. Change the value of header and footer under Top, bottom, left, right, and margin in the Margins tab to 0 centimeters. "", "" ". Click OK, and then click the Ignore button in the warning dialog box that appears (Figure 2). For the greeting card for printing, you can set the appropriate size of the core according to your needs.

Third, set the background and border
As the card provided above "raw material" is white background, must be filled with background. You must place the entire core as a text box before you fill it by clicking the horizontal or Vertical command under the text box item on the Word Insert menu. Move the 10-glyph cursor to the upper-left corner of the version core, press the left mouse button along the version of the core line drag to the lower right corner (note: Make sure the text box coincides with the version of the core border).
Move the cursor to the edge of the text box, and then right-click when the cursor changes to a four-pointer cursor. Select the Format text Box command on the shortcut menu to open the dialog box. On the Colors and Lines tab, click the Color Drop-down button under Fill, and select the Fill Effect command in the Drop-down list. Opens the Fill Effect dialog box, which has four tabs that enable you to achieve rich artistic results.
As for the color and alignment of the greeting card border, you can set the color, actual situation, line, and thickness in the lines item of the Colors and Lines tab. If you do not need a border, set the color to "wireless bar". (Figure 3)

Four, put the picture into the greeting card
First you need to create a new text box on the appropriate location on the page to create the same method as above. Then click the From File command under the Insert menu, Picture submenu. Locate the picture file in the Insert Picture dialog box and select it, and then click the Insert button to place the picture in the text box. Note: the "above text" item should be selected in the dialog box, otherwise the picture may run under the background of your fill (see Figure 4).

Five, enter greeting card text
We can use the WordArt tool that Word provides to enter text, click the drawing button on the Word toolbar, and then click the Insert WordArt button on the Drawing toolbar. Select the style you prefer in the WordArt Gallery dialog box, and click OK to open the Edit WordArt Text dialog box. In the dialog box, select Font, font size, and then click OK when you are finished (Figure 5). If the position of the text is not appropriate, you can select and drag the mouse to the appropriate location.
