Of course, you can use ultraiso to directly create a boot disk, but you need to re-format the entire hard disk. If you create a boot disk and then partition it, the boot effect will also become invalid, so it is quite troublesome.

It wasn't until I accidentally saw one of the winpe files in "Pony pe2011" (full version) recommended to me by Yi Ge that I could use a mobile hard disk as the boot disk, it is easy to understand that you do not need to format all the hard disks or use the entire hard disk as the boot disk. The following describes the methods:

2. A hard disk with a primary partition. If you have multiple primary partitions, I have not tried it. You can use acronis. disk. director. the software of suite converts the primary partition into a logical partition, but after doing so, I fail to start the disk first. Then there was a hard disk overlap during diskgenius detection. I don't know if I had multiple primary partitions in it. Then I clicked "re-create MBR" and the data in several areas was lost, as your local hard disk is backed up, you don't have to worry about it. Then, you can simply delete the entire hard disk and re-divide the partition to only one primary partition. Therefore, we would like to remind you that hard disk operations are at risk and important data must be backed up! Then, use pony PE to create a boot disk for one of the primary partitions. This will not enable you to format it, but also make it into a boot disk.

This step is important. You must select which disk is your system partition disk. If it is only installed on the host disk, click "install the system to this partition" and "use this partition as the boot partition" to point to your local system partition disk, next, we will continue the next step. At last, we will unmount the mobile hard disk when we restart it. The rest is that it will uncompress and install the system on its own.

Finally, a piece of advice: the system can be installed easily, but there are also some risks. Please back up important data. I encountered a lot of bad hard drive channels from someone else, and I re-installed the system for him. The blue screen appeared all the time. Later I checked hdtune, and the bad sectors were mainly concentrated in the front, then delete all the partitions in front of him and mount the system to the available partitions to solve the problem.
