Make your Windows Lock invincible

Since the computer and many important personal files are stored in the computer, the security of data has become the focus of attention. Therefore, apart from the built-in Windows door locks, it is better to add some more secure and personalized smart locks.

I. Real one-click locks

I believe that you will press Win + L in Windows XP to quickly lock your computer (you need to open "Control Panel> User Account> Change User Logon or logout method ", cancel the mark before the "use welcome screen" option), while Windows can lock the computer by creating the restart rundll32.exe user32.dll and LockWorkStation shortcut. But they are not really one-click locks. Do you still remember the Hotkeycontrol XP software we recommended for many times? You can use it to set the uncommon F7 key as the lock key, so that you can complete the lock with only one key at a time (see figure 1 ).

　　

　　

Ii. Windows 98 is not secure. Install SecureIt Pro quickly

Windows 98 does not have the security features like locking machines in Windows 2000/XP. Therefore, you can only use SecureIt Pro to make up for this regret.

A simple and easy-to-use system lock tool automatically pops up the setting wizard window after running. After accepting the software authorization protocol, click "Next" and enter your personal information as prompted, click "Next" to generate a dedicated backdoor password for you, for example, "DJROICYDPTFUWLWBKP" (when you forget the password, use this backdoor password to unlock it ), write down the personal information and the backdoor password. TIPS: When you forget the Lock password, you can press Ctrl + Shift and right-click the lock icon on the unlock page to bring up the backdoor unlock window, enter your personal information and password to unlock the lock.
3. Install the strongest smart lock

If you want to lock everything on the hard disk, including files, windows, shortcuts/programs, folders/drives, and Internet connections, we recommend that you install PC Security, a very good and powerful system access control tool.

　

Note: As PC Security requires advanced drivers to be installed in the system, we test and find that a blue screen fault occurs in a very small number of computers and the blue screen is displayed when Windows is started normally, the security mode is the same. For Windows 98, you can use "Scanreg/Restore" in DOS to Restore the registry. Windows 2000/XP uses the ERUNT software we introduced in section 16th and section 18 to go to the fault recovery console and restore the Registry backup on the day.

After PC Security is running, the icon is displayed on the system tray. Double-click it to open a window. You need to enter the default password "security" to enter the main interface, different lock function menus are listed in the window. You can click the corresponding text to open the setting window. Here are several application instances.

TIPS: to prevent others from opening PC Security modification settings, You need to click "software Settings" on the main interface to modify the default password settings in time, and also click the "Advanced Settings" tab, select "enable security protection after logout/restart.
　
Instance 1: Lock personal files on your computer and prohibit arbitrary editing.

Click "file lock" on the main interface to open the setting window. Select the file to be locked in the browser of the folder above, and set the "lock type" in the middle toolbar (see figure 3, when "read-only" is selected, viewing and copying are allowed, but editing or deleting is not allowed. If "full" is selected, only the file name can be seen and no operations can be performed, including copying and viewing! Finally, click the "Lock" button to add the file to the locked file list box below. If you want to modify the file lock mode, select the locked file in the list, click "unlock", select a new lock type, and click "Lock" again.

　　

　　

Tip: PC Security supports shortcut operations. After selecting a file in resource manager, right-click the file and select PC Security to quickly lock or unlock the file.

Instance 2: Lock disk partitions to protect file security

If important data is stored in a separate partition, you can also use the PC Security disk lock function to protect it. Click "folder/drive lock" on the main interface to enter the settings window. Select the disk partition to be locked, and set the "lock type" on the right. Note that read-only locking is only valid for the selected folder. If you select a partition root directory, you can still perform any operations on the subfolders.
Instance 3: Lock the window for file transfer to continue

Window locking is a very interesting and practical function. For example, if you are using QQ to transfer files with others, you have to temporarily go out to prevent others from interrupting file delivery by mistake, you can click "window lock" on the main interface of PC Security, select "lock type" as "disabled" on the right side, and click "add lock, select the window name for "chatting with XXX" from the "window title" list (see figure 4) and click "OK, you will find that the file transfer window with friends has become unavailable, indicating that it has been locked. The locked window is displayed in the list on the following page. Select the window name and click "unlock window" to unlock the window.

　　

　　

Instance 4: The network is locked so that the network is no longer connected"

PC Security has a powerful network lock function, which is basically equivalent to a network firewall. Click "Internet lock" on the main interface, select the "Enable Internet protection" option in the window, and select the "Lock all Internet-related operations" option below, in this way, all network-related programs will not be able to access the network.

At the same time, you can also selectively lock the network access of some programs. In this case, you need to cancel the "Lock all Internet operations" option, and then run the network program to be locked to access the network, in this case, the "program accesses the Internet" prompt appears, select the "Never allow connection" option, and click "no" (see Figure 5 ).

　　

　　

The third function of the software for network locking is to disable download of certain types of files from the network, and select "prohibit download of the following extension Files ", enter the extension in the text box and click "add" (for example, BAT, VBS, or CMD may be dangerous files ).

Tip: Some network firewalls also have the function of disconnecting the network. However, because there is no access restriction on the firewall software itself, the function of locking the network is basically the same.

Instance 5: Lock important system settings

To prevent system errors caused by misoperations of users who are not familiar with computers, it is necessary to lock the control panel and system attributes in the system, on the PC Security main interface, click "computer system settings". In the displayed window, all important settings that may cause damage to the system are listed. Select the function to be locked.

In addition, PC Security can automatically lock the computer at a specified time or after no operation. It can be said that PC Security is currently the most comprehensive tool for locking, it can be described as "Invincible lock, no lock", and it also has the "intruder detection" function, when someone tries to use the wrong password to access the software, it will issue an intrusion warning, so that the intruders can fear it.
